During the winter vacation of the new millenium we took a 13 day trip to
the islands of the Philippines. We spent all of our time either in Manila
or on the island of Palawan. Manila was quite an interesting example of
big cities in a developing country and Palawan lived up to our high expectations
of being an almost untouched tropical paradise. Click on 1 to read about
